FIRST Global Team Kenya

Oversaw everything built for international robotics competition from scratch to what traveled overseas. Teams competed in Singapore (2023), Athens (2024), Panama City (2025), and next in Incheon, South Korea (2026). Silver Medal in 2025 as 1st Runners Up in Winning Alliances.

• Technical Mentor from 2023 to present. Responsible for all engineering, design, and build decisions for international competition robots.
• FGC 2023 (Singapore): First year as mentor. Guided students through full robot design, build, and competition cycle.
• FGC 2024 (Athens, Greece): Expanded mentorship to include strategy, alliance formation, and international collaboration.
• FGC 2025 (Panama City, Panama): Team won Silver Medal as 1st Runners Up in FIRST Global Winning Alliances. Peak competitive result.
• FGC 2026 (Incheon, South Korea): Currently preparing the next cohort for October 7-10, 2026 competition.

KamiLimu

Selected as Peer Mentor for KamiLimu Cohort 9. Prepared mentees for pitches, presentations, speech rehearsals, and essay reviews while ensuring the program remained a supportive and human experience.

• Program period: March 2025 to November 2025.
• Prepared mentees for pitches, presentations, and speech rehearsals with direct, honest feedback.

Selected as one of 38 mentees from applicants representing 55 Kenyan universities and completed the nine-month mentorship program.

Young Scientists Kenya

Mentored high school students in technology, sharing technical guidance and pathways for global STEM opportunities.

• Engaged more than 1,000 students from over 25 high schools.
• Provided technical coaching and practical innovation guidance.

Alliance Robotics and Computing Fair

Mentored students from multiple high schools and supported technology project development and STEM confidence building.

FIRST Global Challenge, Athens

Supported international event operations and represented Kenyan STEM participation on a global stage.

Kamiti Medium Prisons via School for a Village

Delivered technical training sessions on Arduino, sensors, and C++ through a community partnership program.

• Guided learners through projects such as traffic lights, Blink LED, and a simple alarm system.
• Focused on hands-on curiosity and foundational technical skills.

FIRST Global Challenge 2025

Team Kenya won the Silver Medal as 1st Runners Up in the Winning Alliances category at the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 in Panama City, Panama. Competing against teams from over 180 countries.
