In my own words

Software is easy to talk about and hard to ship. Education is easy to fund and hard to make stick. I do both, and I do them at the same time.

I have worked as a Full-Stack Software Engineer at The Artisans Company and Sidebrief, building production systems for real users under real constraints. I cofounded Venturely, a market intelligence platform that tracks over 20,000 startups globally and uses AI signals to but not limited to flag funding rounds, bankruptcies, and leadership changes before they hit the news cycle.

Outside of product work, I have shipped 17 projects end-to-end: from Scrapifie, an enterprise web scraping platform with TLS fingerprinting and anti-detection, to the official FIRST Global Team Kenya website, to PhotoMed, a patented AI system that maps medicinal plants to your location and symptoms.

Parallel to engineering, I have spent years on competition floors and in classrooms. As Technical Mentor for FIRST Global Team Kenya, I oversaw everything our teams built from scratch to what eventually traveled overseas for competition. Our teams have competed in Geneva, Singapore, Athens, Panama City, and next in Incheon. In 2022 we won the International Enthusiasm Award. In 2025 we took Silver as 1st Runners Up in the Winning Alliances. I have also served as a Peer Mentor in KamiLimu, preparing mentees for pitches, presentations, and professional growth.

I have spoken publicly at iHub, Parklands, and industry events. I have appeared on Citizen TV, KTN News, Nation Media, The Star, Standard Media, and Kass Digital. I contribute to open source, including OpenBB.

The throughline is simple: build things that matter, and make sure other people can too. Technical depth without human context is just engineering theater. I am not interested in theater.

Principles

What guides the work.

  • 01

Ship it, then improve it. Perfection is procrastination.

  • 02

Clarity over cleverness. If you cannot explain it simply, you do not understand it.

  • 03

Access matters more than prestige. Build doors, not gatekeeps.

  • 04

Consistency compounds. Show up, stay sharp, grow long-term.

How I operate

What to expect when we work together.

  • 01

Outcome-obsessed. Plans exist to produce results, not to look organized.

  • 02

Fluent at every altitude: boardroom strategy to terminal commands.

  • 03

Feedback-hungry and mentor-driven. Ego does not ship products.

  • 04

Pragmatic scope, relentless quality. Fast does not mean fragile.
